We are not a brewery, we are a project. Since day one, we invite our community to ‘Join the playground’. This playground is not just about trying new taste, it’s about getting out of our comfort zone and trying new ideas that make sense.
One of those ideas is the famous ‘Babylone’. In 2015, we started brewing the first-ever beer brewed with recycled bread. Since then, we are proud to see many brewing initiatives with bread in Belgium, UK, France and beyond.
In 2022, we were certified as B Corp. More than a celebration, it’s a humbling path of all that stands before us. But we still have so much to do. We are not a sustainable brewery, we are not doing more good than harm to the planet. There are things we do good, but others that we do bad.
It’s not a reason to stop trying, and in the meantime, we can thrive to be a « responsible brewery », making all efforts to become sustainable.
From clean energy to circular economy, we are always trying to find new ways of getting better every day, without taking any shortcut with quality. We look more and more to local farmers and makers, developing long-term partnerships with Belgian & European providers to source our ingredients.

Let’s get it straight: we emit too much CO2. In 2022, we launched a full carbon assessment, including the entire company environment (direct emissions, indirect emissions from energy & all other indirect emissions)
here is the result
Now, it’s time to act. Every year we will reduce our total carbon footprint by 10%, focusing on gas & electricity use, production process, developing local raw materials sourcing. We stopped entirely our distribution outside of Europe in the course of 2023.
It’s a humbling, fun, frustrating & imperfect journey. The only one that makes sense.
